Advocacy Training Council

The Australian Bar Association created the Advocacy Training Council (ATC) in 2005 to become directly involved in the initial and ongoing training of barristers practising at the independent referral Bars.

The ATC conducts a 5-day residential Advanced Trial Advocacy course each January; a 5-day residential Essential Trial Advocacy course mid-year; a 3-day Appellate Advocacy course in September and ABA coaching clinics during the year around Australia.
